The Chef
Josh Bieker started working in restaurants in 1993. As an aspiring cook he was voracious to learn more about food, flavors and the exacting nature of the kitchen. In 1995 Josh had two clear career paths in mind; he was going to be an actor or a chef. Since Hollywood wasn't calling he decided to stay in the kitchens. Around that same time he acquired a cookbook by Charlie Trotter which changed his life forever. At that moment Josh knew he wanted to do more than simply feed people. He wanted to inspire and excite people with his culinary creations. Over the years Josh cooked at multiple restaurants to obtain the skills needed to eventually become the chef he long aspired to be. However, to be even better at his craft, Josh knew he needed to refine his pallet even more. In order to do this he would have to travel and experience international flavors and cultures first hand.
In 2007 Josh and his wife Jade started making the journey of eating at some of the greatest restaurants in the world. Their first international experience would take place in Bray, England, at Heston Blumenthal's restaurant, The Fat Duck. Since then they have eaten at Pierre Gagnaire in Paris, Nakamura in Tokyo, The French Laundry in California, just to name a few.
Although still athirst to learn more, Josh was now ready to start his own dinner series, The Gallery by Josh Bieker.
And that is where the story begins...
